ATM Certification and Approval

PLANAD fully complies with PCI requirements for all the equipment it supplies and has therefore initiated the process to renew the certification and approval of the ATM models currently marketed:

SS23 – Lobby model

SS27 – Built-in model

This renewal also includes the update to Windows 10, version 21H2, whose support by Microsoft is guaranteed until 2032. The certification process took place at SIBS between February 9 and 20 of the current year.

Additionally, a set of hardware improvements has been integrated to align with new market requirements, reinforcing PLANAD’s position as a reference for technological innovation in the sector.

Among the newly approved peripherals, the following stand out:

• Contactless payment acceptance;
• Availability of a second paper roll, ensuring service continuity;
• Support for up to 12 banknote denominations, allowing greater flexibility in cassette configuration without the need for technical intervention;
• Guidance light on the security module (EPP), improving the user experience, especially in low-light environments;
• Card reader (DIP), with simple maintenance and aligned with international market trends.

The updated certification will be available in March, making PLANAD the first company to bring this set of innovations to the Angolan market.
